Driver Airlifted to Pilgrim Hospital after Accident

A 20 year old woman was airlifted to the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston after suffering head injuries when her car was involved in an accident on Wednesday 30 March at around 5.45pm.

The woman was driving a Toyota Yaris car which was in collision with a Volkswagen Golf near West Farm on the road between Little Bytham and Witham on the Hill.Local firefighters cut the Toyota driver from her car and, along with paramedics called to the scene, provided assistance to the 52 year old driver of the Volkswagen who suffered minor injuries.

It is understood that the 20 year old was later transferred to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham for further treatment.
