Little Bytham
A Millennium picture of all those living in the village was captured on the morning of Sunday 27 June 1999 in front of Mrs Bee’s shop. The photographer had been given permission to stand on the railway viaduct that carried the East Coast Mainline through the village making the image even more unique. The picture appeared in the Stamford and Rutland Mercury on the following Friday.
The village was also asked to contribute memories, stories and images to the publication of a book about the village entitled “Little Bytham – a Celebration”.
Castle Bytham
In Castle Bytham the Parish Council presented a commemorative coin to each child living in the village aged 11 or under on 31 December 2002.
