Burglary Castle Bytham : 01/03/2017

Good morning, a burglary has been reported to us on Pinfold Road, Castle Bytham. It is believed to have occurred between 1430 & 1810hrs yesterday 28/02/2017. Entry has been gained via a window and appears the offender/s looking for cash or jewellery. Theft Of Heating Oil : 22/02/2017

Between the 9th and 21st of February 2017, a theft of heating oil has been reported in Bytham Heights, Castle Bytham. The offender(s) have taken approximately 500 litres of heating oil from an external fuel tank. If you have any information regarding this crime, please contact the police on 101, quoting incident 188 – 21/02/2017.

Theft of vehicle : 16/02/2017

On the 15th of February 2017, a high value Audi S3 was stolen from a private driveway in the village of Castle Bytham. The theft occurred approximately 1:55pm, on the High Street. The offender(s) gain access to the property via an unsecured door while the owners were inside, before making off with the vehicle. If you have any information that maybe linked to this theft, please report it to the police on 101, quoting incident 246 – 15/02/2017.

Road safety : 14/02/2017

Over the last two days, there has been an alarming number of road traffic accidents reported on the local roads. Please remember to drive to the current conditions, taking extra time to complete your journeys. One thing to consider, if the outside temperature is 4 or lower, you may likely come across black ice. High winds will increases the chance of ice forming on country roads, that otherwise look dry.

Deer Poaching Activity : 28/01/2017

Overnight between 27th of January 2017 and the morning of the 28th, deer poaching has occurred between Castle Bytham and South Witham. The offenders have caused a great deal of damage to gates, fencing and crops. If you witness any suspicious activity late at night, please report it to the Police on 101. Together, we can tackle rural crime. This message refers to incident 88 – 28/01/2017.
