A Royal Tea Party

To help celebrate HM The Queen’s 90th year you are invited to a vintage-style Afternoon Tea at Castle Bytham Village Hall on Sunday, May 15th between 3pm and 6pm.

As well as a mouth-watering selection of dainty sandwiches, delicious home-made cakes and cream scones, there will be live music provided for a Tea Dance so you can trip the light fantastic or sing along to some old favourites.

The event is aimed at everyone – after all, who doesn’t like cake? Tickets are priced at £10 and there’s a concessionary rate for over 60s and under 14s of £7.50.

It might still be Spring but preparations for the Castle Bytham Midsummer Fair and Music Festival are already well-underway.

The Music Festival runs over two days on Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19, and runs alongside the popular Castle Bytham Midsummer Fair on the 
Sunday.

Fashion fundraiser at Castle Bytham Village Hall

Tickets are now on sale for a charity fashion show taking place on Friday, next week (April 1) at Castle Bytham Village Hall.

The fabulous event, starting at 7.30pm, will feature top fashions from the high street, including the likes of Next, M&S, River Island and Wallis – all available to purchase on the night at discounted prices.

Upcoming 2016 events : Castle Bytham Village Hall

Dig out those purple flares and yellow tank tops… on Saturday, March 5th there’s another opportunity to strut your stuff at the Castle Bytham Village Hall.
Forget ‘less is more’, forget ‘this doesn’t match’ … this is the ‘Bad Taste Boogie Night’ and there are no rules!

Studio Disco’s DJ Graham will be playing the greatest tunes from across the decades to fill the dance floor between 8pm and midnight.
Tickets are priced at £12.50 and will include a cold buffet. There’s a licensed bar as well.

The Village Hall Committee and its valued band of helpers are also arranging two other fund-raising events for your diary.

Next up is ‘A Royal Tea Party’ on the afternoon of Sunday, May 15th – to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday.
The aim is to create a street party atmosphere in the hall between 3pm and 6pm. A traditional afternoon tea will be served and musical entertainment provided for a tea dance. Tickets are £10, and there’s a concessionary rate of £7.50 for over 60s and under 14s.

And before we plummet into next winter, Castle Bytham Village Hall will bring back a reminder of sunshine and the Rio Olympics with a ‘Carnival Party Night’ on October 15th. For £17.50 you’ll enjoy a taste of Latin American cuisine, with music provided by a live band.
Tickets to the ‘Bad Taste Boogie’ are on sale now – don’t delay, they are limited in number and will sell out quickly.

Five people cut from three Lincolnshire crashes in less than 24 hours

Firefighters have cut five people from three separate crashes which all happened in under 24 hours.

Crews from Corby Glen and Grantham rushed to a crash at Morkery Lane in Castle Bytham.
