Castle Bytham Midsummer Festival is ‘best one yet’ thanks to heatwave

That was the enthusiastic verdict following this weekend’s Castle Bytham Midsummer Festival, which ran on Sunday and incorporated a music festival on Saturday.

The event was blessed with a heatwave with clear blue skies and bright sunshine, with hundreds of revellers enjoying live music outdoors on Saturday until late.

Criminal damage : 18/06/2016

On the 18th of June 2017, St James church in Castle Bytham was the subject of criminal damage. The offender has damaged the door handle, but has not gain entry to the church. Musical feast at Castle Bytham’s Midsummer Festival

The final line-up of bands and performers has been announced for this year’s Midsummer Festival in Castle Bytham and it promises to be an even bigger and better musical and artistic feast than ever before.

There will be music to appeal to all tastes – rock, pop, classical, choral, folk, blues, country, Latin funk, big band, indie, and a cappella at the festival, which runs on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18. Altogether more than 20 acts over two days, and all for free.

Theft From Vehicle : 31/05/2017

On the morning of the 31st of May 2017, a theft from vehicle overnight was reported on Station Street, Castle Bytham. The offender has approached the vehicle and smashed the driver’s side window to gain access. Once inside the vehicle, the offender made off with a handbag. Castle Bytham Vehicle Theft : 11/05/2017

On the 11th of May 2017, a vehicle theft was reported in the village of Castle Bytham. The offender(s) have targeted a small black moped parked in a layby overnight on Station Road and possible loaded it into another vehicle. Castle Bytham woman has purse returned after it is found in hundreds of tonnes of recycling waste

A Castle Bytham resident is thanking her lucky stars after her purse, along with its contents, was found among tonnes of recycling waste by an eagle-eyed employee at a recycling facility.

Shirley Grayson had accidentally thrown her purse into her recycling bin and thought she had no hope of ever finding it again.
