The first stage of digital switchover in the East Midlands TV region has been completed.

Analogue BBC Two was turned off at the Waltham transmitter group serving the East Midlands on 17 August and digital TV boosted to reach all areas.

Digital re-tune reminder (17th August 2011)

The digital switchover starts on the 17th August 2011, if you use the Waltham transmitter group.

Stage 1 (17th August 2011)

BBC Two will go to digital and some new digital channels become available. This means that:

  • If you haven’t switched, you’ll lose BBC Two.
  • The time of day you switch will depend on which relay transmitter you are watching.

If you have Freeview, BT Vision or Top Up TV you’ll need to re-tune your equipment.

Stage 2 (31st August 2011)

All the remaining analogue channels will switch to digital and the remaining digital channels will become available. This means that:

  • If you haven’t switched to digital, you will lose your TV service.
  • The time of day you switch will depend on which relay transmitter you are watching.

If you have Freeview, BT Vision or Top Up TV you’ll need to re-tune your equipment again.
