Driver Airlifted to Pilgrim Hospital after Accident

A 20 year old woman was airlifted to the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston after suffering head injuries when her car was involved in an accident on Wednesday 30 March at around 5.45pm.

The woman was driving a Toyota Yaris car which was in collision with a Volkswagen Golf near West Farm on the road between Little Bytham and Witham on the Hill. Continue reading

Celestial Candles & Ceilidh

This Saturday (26 March 2011) Bythams Music‘s first event for 2011 takes place.  At 6.30pm in Little Bytham Church there will be a concert of sacred music with a Celtic flavour with the Children’s Choir of St Wulfram’s in Grantham led by Dr Tim Williams. Entry to this event is free of charge but donations to the Children’s Choir and Little Bytham Church are welcomed! Afterwards, at 8.30pm, there will be a Ceilidh Dance in Little Bytham Village Hall with the brilliant Castle Band. Drinks, refreshments and food will be available, entry to the Ceilidh being £3 per person.

The next Pub Quiz at the Willoughby Arms in Little Bytham takes place on Tuesday 15 March starting at 8pm.  Entry is only £1 per person – maximum 6 people per team.

Alan Wood Murder Appeal Prompts 50 calls

A fresh appeal for information about the murder of a Lincolnshire man on BBC One‘s Crimewatch programme has prompted more than 50 calls to police.

Alan Wood, 50, who had been tortured, was found dead in his home in Lound, near Bourne on 24 October 2009.
