Person airlifted to hospital after serious two-car crash near Grantham

Three people have been rushed to hospital following a two-car crash near Grantham.

One patient was flown to Peterborough by air ambulance and two others were taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham by land ambulance yesterday, Friday, June 22.

There’s great news for visitors to Castle Bytham’s Midsummer Festival this weekend.

The DMU Gospel Choir, semi-finalists in last month’s Britain’s Got Talent, will perform at the festival on the afternoon of Sunday, June 24.

Little Bytham teenager lands top photographic awards

A Little Bytham teenager is celebrating after winning a prestigious photography competition.

Thea Revell, 13, won the area Rotary Young Photographer competition after her three pictures from this year’s cold spell impressed judges.

This saw her progress through to the district competition, which covers Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and part of Cambridgeshire, which she also won.

Country capers at Castle Bytham Midsummer Festival

A treat awaits visitors to Castle Bytham on June 23 and 24 thanks to a full list of attractions at this year’s two-day village festival.

The fun starts on Saturday with a 5K Chase, an off road trail run suitable for the whole family.

Those who like to take things at a more leisurely pace can follow the historic village walk and enjoy the parade of decorated wheelbarrows to the events field, where live music on two stages starts at 1.30pm.

Inaugural Farm Run is a huge success

More than 100 runners flocked to an organic farm Little Bytham on Sunday to take part in the village’s inaugural LB5K Farm Run

The event, which was run over the farm’s tracks and fields, raised more than £850 for Little Bytham’s church, St Medard’s, the village hall, and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
