Yoga at the Rosewell Shiatsu Centre in Castle Bytham

If you’d like to take up Yoga, or are looking for a venue locally that you can continue your involvement, then the Rosewell Shiatsu Centre, in Castle Bytham, are currently promoting three sessions each week.

Castle Bytham arson attack couple return home

A couple whose house was wrecked by a series of firebombs have returned to their Lincolnshire home a year after the attacks.

Detectives are still puzzled as to why Peter and Sylvia Cox were targeted but the couple insist they are coping with the trauma.

Holywell Pond Woman and Grandson Named

Its being reported in the press that neighbours and friends in Castle Bytham have named the woman, that died tragically at the pond in Holywell on Thursday evening, as Dawn Mullany.  Her grandson Laurie Mullany-Mills, from Ketton who was staying with her at the time, also died.

Tragic Accident at Holywell Pond

Both the local and national press are reporting the tragic death, at the pond in Holywell, of a woman in her 70’s, from Castle Bytham, and her 6 year old grandson, who had been visiting her.

Police were called to the area after the woman’s daughter reported them missing yesterday evening at around 9.20pm. Following a search the woman’s car was found in Holywell and, at around 10.45pm, the body of the woman was found floating in the pond.

A subsequent search, which involved the Fire and Rescue service and RAF search and rescue helicopters (whose presence was apparent in the area during the early hours of the morning) found the submerged body of her grandson at around 4.00am today (Friday 17 February).

Celebrate the Community Spirit of Castle Bytham Our Parish Church of St. James has been at the heart of Castle Bytham for nearly a thousand years, as a place for the community to gather to mark life events and important village celebrations.

At St. James – tide this year, we would like to invite all who live in the village to join in a `Celebration of our Community`, where we can give thanks for all the groups and activities that bring our village together and help us to enjoy belonging to such a special place.
