The Bythams Community Shop and Café celebrates its first year in Castle Bytham

Staff and volunteers at a community shop which opened as the pandemic took hold have celebrated their first year of trading.

The Bythams Community Shop and Café in Castle Bytham opened on June 1 last year and has since helped people shop locally at a time when it has been most important, and even delivered goods to those self-isolating.

Castle Bytham will run live sew-along on Christmas Day to help people who are lonely

A Castle Bytham woman will run a live sew-along free of charge today on Christmas Day.

Sewing superstar Debbie Shore will be broadcasting the sew-along on Facebook at 11am and then on YouTube at 2pm. It will include a quiz, prizes and an opportunity to chat for those who tune in.

Santa Claus spreads Christmas cheer in village near Grantham on horse and carriage
