CB Parties Committee

The Castle Bytham Parties Committee was formed in 1995 to raise funds for, and organise, the Children’s and Senior Citizen’s Christmas Parties in Castle Bytham.  Up until 1995 the Senior Citizens Christmas Party had been organised in conjunction with Little Bytham – does anyone know if this was a combined party or two separate parties organised by the same committee?

In ??? the committee ‘split’ and separate groups now organise each event.

This year sees the return of the Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch and Children’s Christmas Party, organised by the newly formed Castle Bytham Parties Committee.  This Committee has worked hard during the year to raise funds for both events and is now busily making arrangements.

The Children’s Christmas Party will be held in the village hall on Sunday 3 December 1995, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and is for all children in the village from the age of 0 – 11 years.  The organiser for the event is Mrs Ann Burrows who may be contacted on 410537.  Further details will be announced nearer the time.

The Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch will be held in the village hall on Saturday 16 December 1995, from 12noon to 3.00pm (approximately).  Invitations will be sent out in the near future.  Make a note in your diary.  Come along and get into the Christmas spirit.

May I thank everybody who so generously donated prizes to the Christmas Parties tombola stall at the Midsummer Fair.  We raised the magnificent sum of £347 towards the Senior Citizens and Children’s Christmas Parties.  My thanks also to the committee and friends who helped on the day.  We hope you can join us in October for a Bingo Night.
