Fox and Hounds Quiz (from Glenside News December 2011 : 09/12/11 : MG)

A full house on the 13 November – good but requests from younger competitors for easier questions – not so good.  Dumbing down – whatever is our ever intelligent quizmaster to do?  Find out on Sunday 11 December 2011 at 8.30pm.  This will be the Christmas Box and Bottle Event.

Dean Taylor (Landlord of The Fox and Hounds) and Harun Uddin (of Stamford’s Award Winning Bengal Clipper Indian restaurant), have teamed up to bring top class Indian cuisine to the local area.  The first curry night was on the evening of 3 November and was very well attended with almost 60 bookings taken.  A sell out.

What a fantastic night, Indian music playing, terrific food and exemplary service by the Bengal Clipper team.  For a modest £10.95 per head, we were treated to a selection of starters and main courses freshly cooked on the premises by two chefs from the Bengal Clipper.  Instead of taking individual orders, each table was served with a selection of main courses including Chicken Tikka, Lamb Jalfrezie and Vegetable Bhuna – ll accompanied by Sag Allo, rice and naan breads.  Starters were served in the same way.  It was a terrific evening – and judging by the comments of fellow diners, everyone enjoyed themselves.

Following the success of the first night.  The Fox and Hounds now plans to hold a curry night on the first Thursday of every month – with the menu selection changing every time.  Keep an eye open for future menus posted in the pub.
