Freeview Retune Day : 03-Sep-2014

FreeviewNews and children’s channels will be moving places on Freeview on Wednesday 3rd September 2014, as plans to extend the range of channel numbers reserved for general entertainment channels, are put in to place.

The BBC Red Button service that is now on channel 301 will move to channel 601 on that date as well, as part of a move to increase the number of channels available on YouView, which shares the Freeview channel numbering system.

Channel 4+1 HD and 4Seven HD now on Freeview

Channel 4+1 HD and 4Seven HD (YouView EPG)Great news for people that can already receive Freeview HD channels 101-105 and can receive services from the Waltham (East Midlands) transmitter.

Two new HD channels. Channel 4+1 HD (110) and 4seven HD (111). Have launched today on Freeview HD and YouView.

Six-year-old twins from Castle Bytham to cycle six miles for charity

Proving that you’re never too young to start fundraising, a pair of six-year-old twins have signed up to take part in a six-mile bike ride at Rutland Water in aid of Diabetes UK.

Ben and Gracie Stevenson from Castle Bytham will be cycling in the charity’s Big Bike Ride on June 29, alongside their mum Julia Miner.

Chart Show TV arrives on Freeview

The ChartShowTVChart Show TV channel has launched on Freeview channel 67.

It’s being carried on the signal that is carrying local TV to town and cities across the UK, and is only available on Freeview in locations where local TV has already launched, or will launch later this year.

Police will hold a series of security marking events to protect property from thieves.
